StreetPoint is not a niche.

by Pieter Borremans · Taichung

The founder of Ryoka Group runs three other properties: a personal blog, a diary of life in Taiwan, a journal on building alone. Each has a subject. This one doesn't.

The premise is simple. Something worth keeping shows up most weeks: an object, a pattern, a piece of infrastructure, an idea encountered somewhere else, a small thing tried and reported on plainly. None of it fits the other three sites, because none of it is about the person running them.

Posts sort into three bins: observations, readings, experiments. The bins organize; they don't constrain. A post that fits none of them still gets filed.

There's no publishing calendar beyond one dispatch a week, and no metric this is optimizing for. It runs on a longer horizon than most blogs bother with, three years at minimum, as one more piece of a publishing network built slowly rather than launched loudly.

This is the first dispatch. The rest follow on their own schedule.
